So, the Chicago Bulls probably should have made a trade at the deadline, huh?

Chicago has dropped five straight games, blowing a 24-point first quarter lead on Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers to fall to 26-32 on the season.

The Bulls decided to stand pat at the deadline, yet they are still outside of the play-in tournament with no sign of turning things around. They’re in a really tough spot on Thursday night, hosting Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Milwaukee is just a game out of the No. 1 seed in the East, but it won’t have two key role players, Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton, in this game.

The Bulls are hoping to get DeMar DeRozan back in the lineup after he missed Wednesday’s game, but is that enough to get them to pull off the upset?

There’s no way I’m trusting the Bulls to win this game, and I don’t think they’re going to cover the eight points either.

After the first quarter on Wednesday night, Chicago was outscored by 28 points by a Pacers team that has far less offensive talent than the Bucks. Sure, Milwaukee put up a bit of a clunker against the Celtics’ bench unit in its last game, but it still found a way to come away with a win.

The Bucks are sixth in the NBA in net rating this season while Chicago clocks in at No. 21, and the Bucks are a much better offensive team when Khris Middleton is in the lineup.

Chicago’s five-game losing streak is concerning, especially since it has lost back-to-back games to teams that aren’t even in the play-in picture in the East.

Milwaukee has been solid against the spread as a road favorite (9-5-2) this season, so I’ll lay the points with the Bucks given Chicago’s struggles.
