Twitter reacts after 76ers fan ejected for taunting Carmelo Anthony

Philadelphia 76ers fans were ejected after an interaction with Carmelo Anthony and Twitter is sounding off in response to what was reportedly said.

During a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers, two Philadelphia fans was ejected for reportedly taunting Carmelo Anthony. The interaction between Anthony and the 76ers fan caught the attention of everyone on NBA Twitter largely because of what the fan reportedly said to Anthony.

Chris Haynes, Senior NBA Insider for Yahoo Sports, reported that league sources have indicated what was said from the 76ers fan who was taunting Anthony.

Now, Twitter is reacting to the ejection and the report of what the fan said. Understandably, this incident has upset many.

Lakers coach Frank Vogel was very open about sharing his thoughts on the interaction, calling out the 76ers fan for what was said.

Vogel isn’t alone in believing the words were totally inappropriate.

Some have taken the opportunity to point out a history of negative and inappropriate interactions between players and 76ers fans.
