The Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns has a pretty unique idea of the role he should play in Space Jam 2.
Karl-Anthony Towns is going into a pivotal year of his career. Jimmy Butler may want to leave the Minnesota Timberwolves, which would be devastating to the franchise, but it’s a possibility for which they must be ready after he declined negotiations about a contract extension.
Towns, on the other hand, might play in Minnesota for his entire NBA career and add a credit with the best player in the world to his IMDB page. He recently told LeBron James to call him about movie projects, and FanSided asked Towns who he would play in a potential Space Jam sequel.
“I’d definitely be Sean Bradley,” he said at the 2018 Gatorade High School Athlete of the Year Awards. Charles Barkley and Larry Johnson were also brought up as casting possibilities, but he shot those names down quickly.
“I would have to start missing a tooth or something like that [to be Larry] unless I become Cole Aldrich overnight,” Towns said. “I think I’m going to probably be Sean Bradley. Shout out to Cole Aldrich and the missing tooth.”

The Timberwolves have a lot going on this summer. They must figure out whether Butler is a part of their future or not, and they have to decide what to do with Towns. He shot down talks about the Wolves extending him this summer as well as questions about Jimmy, but Minnesota clearly has some big decisions to make.
The Wolves are probably going to lose Butler to a large market team next summer or trade him before this season. Towns, though, will look forward to the day he gets called to be a part of Space Jam 2 with LeBron. We’ll all anticipate that movie without a doubt, and my only request is that Bill Murray makes the game-winning shot or at least has a cameo.
