The newest addition to the Jordan sneaker line is a blend of innovation and tradition, hearkening to the shoe line’s roots while taking advantage of the latest and greatest components available to shoe manufacturers.
The Air Jordan XXXII won’t be available for purchase until Sept. 23, but Jordan brand has introduced the shoe to the public in order to build hype for the release.
According to a press release from Nike, the XXXII is inspired by the essence of the II but has updated that look with the latest shoe technology.
The XXXII boasts an unmasked fly knit upper with high-tenacity yarn that seamlessly combines stretch, support and zonal lockdown. The laces integrate into that fly knit construction to produce a clean and sleek look. The shoe also promises a tuned-up flight speed technology that unleashes the energy of Zoom Air units for an explosive step. Additionally, new high-tenacity yarns makes the shoe more flexible than any previous Jordan upper.
As far as references to the II go, the toe box has a moccasin-like shape and the luxury leathers are unmistakeable. The shaping and textures of the shoe are also throwbacks to the II.
As part of the shoe’s debut promotional materials, Jordan has done a photo shoot with reigning NBA MVP and Jordan brand ambassador Russell Westbrook.
“The Air Jordan game shoe line has always produced some of my favorite shoes,” says Jordan family member and reigning MVP Russell Westbrook. “The XXXII is a great combination of performance and style. The way I play demands that I have the best performing sneaker on my feet and style is something that is engrained in me as a person and player.”
The Rosso Corsa Colorway, presented in a sharp red tone, will be available to consumers first on the aforementioned date of Sept. 23. For the first time in Jordan history, there will be a global launch in a mid and low version as well. The Bred and Bred Low will both be released on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
The Air Jordan XXXII has updated the sneaker line for 2017, combining classic style with the newest elements. As Jordan continues to innovate, future versions of the shoe will only get more impressive.
